Springing Forward with Tech @ Springfield

it’s 2007.  my grandmother never thought she would say those words.  and with this entry into a new year, we have the opportunity once again for a fresh start, a clean slate, a new beginning.  but for those of us working on the education calendar, we are smack dab in the middle of the year.  the lesson plan book is not fresh.  neither is the grade book.  erasers aren’t clean, and the computers are dusty from the holiday break.  so what can we do to feel brand spanking new in 2007?  jump right into technology.  let’s start a “try this in 2007″ list:

     check out the lessons that accompany united streaming and safari montage.

     explore the gallery in smartboard software.

     give a learning styles inventory using the CPS unit.

     use the ipod to record readers now and then at the end of the year.  what a great conference tool those contrasting files would be!

hopefully some of these ideas will jumpstart your return to school.  and maybe the kids will want to clean those erasers at recess :)
