Springing Forward with Tech @ Springfield

You will notice something new at the very bottom of the blog… an RSS feed to CNN Student News Video Podcast! Every updated podcast will now be accessible via this blog.  I love the CNN Student News updates.  They are between 7-10 minutes and include brief news updates geared for students listening ears. 

How can you embed this same feed into your blog?  From the dashboard of your blog, click on presentation, then sidebar widgets.  Drag the widgets from the bottom of the screen that you would like to include.  For the RSS feed, drag up RRS 1.  Click on the box in the upper right hand corner of the RRS box and insert the following link:  http://rss.cnn.com/services/podcasting/studentnews/rss. 

Be patient when you are ready to watch the video podcast.  Once you click on it, give it some time before it begins. 

Want to be able to view these a little bigger or don’t want to bother with going to a blog site?  Download itunes.  Click on Podcasts and then News.  Subscribe to CNN Students News Video.  Every new video podcast will now be directly downloaded into your itunes folder.  To view the video full screen, double click on the small video playing in the lower left hand corner of your screen.  An instant newscast for the entire classroom.
